SeniorRealm.com is an internet tool, and a venue that connects individuals seeking senior housing, care, and other services for senior living with individuals or businesses that provide these services, with emphasis on providing current facility vacancy information.

Who should use SeniorRealm.com?
Any individual, a senior himself or herself, family, friends, Service Providers, Senior Advocates, Medical workers or any other third party users seeking home or senior care services for him or herself or for someone else. As everyone knows, our baby boomer population is growing and thus greater demand for services that assist our elders to have an independent and fulfilled life for as long as they can and want. At SeniorRealm.com, we make the searching easy and quick.

Do I have to register to do a search?
No, you do not have to register to do a search. We do, however, encourage you to subscribe to newsletters, website updates, new features and special offers.

Does it cost money to use SeniorRealm.com?
No, SeniorRealm.com is FREE to everyone seeking housing, care and other services for seniors. It is a service that we understand is much needed to save time and effort during this very difficult and confusing time. In some instances, using SeniorRealm.com may be even more than free, with a rebate. We strongly recommend that facilities offer rebate to those who find them through our web site. Because this is optional, only facilities that are able to offer rebates do so. See our REBATE PROGRAM DETAILS.

How does SeniorRealm.com make money?
We charge a very reasonable recurring fee to Service Providers who register with our site. In exchange, they are given a Service Provider Account that can be used to manage their own detailed information and advertise space availability. These Providers are listed under "REGISTERED FACILITIES" in the search results displayed.

Who are the Service Providers?
At this time, our Service Providers are facility owners of Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE), Assisted Living facilities (ALF), Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) and Retirement Communities. When we expand to add other services, this statement will be updated accordingly.

What are the benefits of registering as a Service Provider?
Our search results display a list of facilities grouped into Registered and Non-Registered Facilities. Only facilities who are registered with SeniorRealm.com may post additional information, such as space availability, photos, room types, rates descriptions and services offered. Please see "Benefits of Membership" in the Provider section for more details.

What are the non-registered facilities and why is there no detail about them?
Basic business contact information of all facilities in SeniorRealm.com (except for Retirement Communities since they do not require state licensure) was obtained from the state licensing agency. Those who have not registered with SeniorRealm.com are referred to as "Non- Registered Facilities". Service Providers are responsible for posting any vital information needed by searching clients or medical professionals, and only registered facilities have that benefit.

Do you give advice, recommendations or referrals?
SeniorRealm.com does not provide advice, referrals or recommendations. Our website is for information only. We ask that those who are seeking housing and services for themselves or for another senior to please do diligent checking and research on the providers that you find in this site. Our resource page has listed several government agencies that could assist you with questions about Alzheimer's and other dementia, care giving and other senior issues. Medical professionals like nurse case managers, hospital discharge planners and social workers are good sources of information on senior resources. You may also contact the local trade association of these facilities for assistance in your search.

As a client, will I still get a rebate if I use a referral agency to help me find housing?
No, SeniorRealm.com's Membership Registration Agreement specifies that rebates, when provided, only apply when an independent search was done and no referral agency is involved. Referral agencies charge facilities a placement fee, which is usually half of the first month's board and care fee. However, it is up to the discretion of the facility owner to offer you a rebate, even if they have to pay the referral agency. As a reminder, it is not required for facilities to offer rebate.
